Order Information

Payment and Credit Policies: All orders by individuals and companies must be prepaid with check, money order, or credit card; established school and bookstore accounts must accompany their orders with a purchase order number. We accept American Express, Visa, and Mastercard. Checks and money orders must be in U.S. dollars and drawn on a U.S. bank.

International orders must be prepaid in U.S. dollars by credit card and/or check drawn on U.S. bank.

Terms of sale: Net 30 days FOB.

Mail-In: To place and order with a check, mail your check and order to: Fairchild Books, P.O. Box 5121, New York, NY 10087-5121. To place an order with a credit card please write to Fairchild Books, 750 Third Avenue, New York, NY 10017.

Phone-In: Toll-free, 1 (800) 932-4724. Offices hours are Monday-Friday, 9a.m. to 5p.m. E.S.T.

Faxed Orders: (212) 630-3868. Please print your name and daytime phone number on all pages of your order.

Discounts

Accounts will receive the following discounts: Wholesalers- 20%; School Adoptions titles- 20%.


Claims

All Claims for non-receipt, shortage, or damage and requests for proof of delivery must be made in writing within 30 days of receipt of statement in order to be honored. Fairchild Books will not be liable after this period.


Return Policy

Fairchild Books will accept pre-authorized book returns for textbooks from wholesalers, bookstores, and retailers up to six months after invoice date, provided the returns do not constitute more than 40% per title of the original order, and are unmarked and are in salable condition. Return permission is valid for three months after date granted. All returns must contain a copy of the original invoice or return authorization. All returns must be shipped prepaid. Credit will not be issued for products returned without authorization or for damaged goods. Fairchild Books will not be liable for unauthorized returns. The right of return may request to (212) 630-3868; or call Customer Service at (800) 932-4724, extension 1 for return authorization.

Account Managers

In order to give you the most efficient and personalized service, Fairchild Books Account Managers will assist you in selecting a text, answer all questions you may have about any of our textbooks, or send a review copy to you for adoption consideration. Account Managers are available Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. East Coast Time. Find your account manager by clicking here.


Review Copies

Review copies are available only to educators who are considering a text for adoption as a required text and are limited to one per instructor. All requests are reviewed and subject to approval by your Account Manager. If your request does not meet the above criteria you may purchase the text by calling customer service at 1 (800) 932-4724, extension 1. To request a review copy online please click here and fill out all the required information.


Desk Copies

Desk copies and instructor resources are available on a request basis to instructors who have adopted 10 or more copies of one title. Desk copies are limited to one per instructor. To request a desk copy please contact your Account Manger. Please do not fill out the review copy request form on this website to request a desk copy. If you would like to receive access to the instructor resources on this website please contact your Account Manger.
